Audi TT-RS first pictures

These are the first official photos of Audi TT-RS. The new model will begin in March at the Auto Salon in Geneva and will be available in two versions of the bodywork, coupe and cabrio. Under the hood we find a turbo engine in five cylinders, 2.5 liters, which develops 340 horsepower and 450 Nm. Audi TT-RS will have a manual box with six gears and traction integral quattro. As performance, the German model will accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds and the maximum speed will be limited to 250 km / h. The exterior design of Audi R8

The management of Audi looked to create a powerful car who can reach up to 300km/h but in the same time to have a high quality design and elegance.
These requirements gave the designers even more challange, not to create just a design but to create a ballance withing design and performance.
The air apertures from the front and the rear of the car were sized by the amount of cooling air required by the engine. For the first time the audi rings are placed above the front grille. As saying above the rear side has two air apertures and the rear horisontal edge wich gives a dominant look.

Best sports car of 2008

It is about Audi R8 who won World Car of the Year awards last year for both design and performance cattegory.

The Audi R8 was chosen by 47 jurors. The car belongs to the Volkswagen Group and has two types of engines, one 4.2 L and second 5.2 L and two transmitions types, manual and semi-automatic.
