The exterior design of Audi R8

The management of Audi looked to create a powerful car who can reach up to 300km/h but in the same time to have a high quality design and elegance.
These requirements gave the designers even more challange, not to create just a design but to create a ballance withing design and performance.
The air apertures from the front and the rear of the car were sized by the amount of cooling air required by the engine. For the first time the audi rings are placed above the front grille. As saying above the rear side has two air apertures and the rear horisontal edge wich gives a dominant look.
